Terms & Policies

We do our best to provide all of our customers with high quality products at reasonable prices. If you are not happy with our products, let us know. Satisfied customers are what we strive for!

Below, you will find all of our policies that pertain to ordering with our company. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns that need answering!

Payments

We accept Visa, Discover and Mastercard with a secure processing company and Paypal, as well as checks and money orders. Please use our shopping cart for credit card as well as check/money payments. You will have a payment option in the checkout process.

We also accept credit cards over the phone, fax, and through the mail. Please do NOT send us your credit card information via email! We do not keep any cards or numbers on file.

There is no minimum order charge. But please see our Caustics Policy if you are ordering any of our lyes. If you are a business wishing to order in larger quantities, please contact us with your business information to see if you qualify for our special business account and wholesale discounts.

Shipping

Our shippers include UPS and USPS. All shipping costs are as closely estimated as possible for your benefit. Please be sure that your shipping address is correct and valid, as there are charges which can be applied if it is not.

We strive for our order turn around time to be same day shipping, so that you can receive your order ASAP. In the extreme, our order turn around could be 2-3 business days. If an item is backordered, you will be notified, and receive the option of a refund.

International ordering

As of right now, we only accept international orders on a custom base to Canada and Australia. All international customers, please be aware that there may be taxes, duties, and/or brokerage fees assessed on delivery of your order. Please contact us for estimated costs.

Returns and Refunds

We accept returns on a custom basis. If you are not happy with your order, please let us know, and we will do our best to remedy the situation. Shipping costs are not refunded unless the product has a defect, or is wrong. Please let us know if you would like to return something. No essential oils, fixed oils, butters, or fragrance oils are accepted for returns due to the uncertainty of their purity after shipping from our facility.

 

Damaged Shipments

Please check all of your order when it arrives. If there is a product that you are unsure of, please contact us immediately! If you are unsure and continue to use, test, or experiment with the contents of any container, DSPS accepts no responsibility for injury. Report any damage to both the shipper and DSPS. We will need all documentation in order to file claims.

Caustics

Please be aware that both Sodium Hydroxide and Potassium Hydroxide are very caustic materials. We strongly encourage you to use all safety precautions and protection when in contact with lye. Please read all our information on the Lye page, so that you will be informed on the uses and warnings concerning lye. KEEP ALL LYE AWAY FROM CHILDREN!

Due to the illegal use of Sodium Hydroxide in drug making, we must report any suspicious sale of Sodium Hydroxide to the proper authorities.

The Federal Regulations enforce certain quantities and procedure rules concerning shipping lyes. We have done our best to incorporate these into our system, but we reserve the right to change your order should it conflict with any of the federal regulations. We recommend shipping all lye through UPS, as USPS tends to extend the transit time when shipping lye.

Local Pick ups

We are an internet business, without a storefront. If you would like to save on shipping costs and pick up your order, go through the checkout making sure to select local pick up. You will have an option to either pay online or when you come. Please put the optimal time and date in the notes area of the checkout and we will contact you with information regarding stock status and the pick up schedule. We will do our best to make the time and date that you send us work, but there are no guarantees. We do recommend sending orders at least 24 hours in advance of pick up desires as we are better able to arrange the schedule.

2014 DSPS Holiday Dates

Please see the dates below when we will either be closed, or our carriers do not pick up. All orders placed during the dates below will be shipped on the next business day unless otherwise indicated. And please note that we are closed on Saturdays and Sundays. These dates are subject to change.

January 5-14, 2015 (End of Year Review)

January 19, 2015 (ML King Day – USPS will not pick up)

February 15, 2015 (Presidents Day – We will be open, but USPS will not pick up)

May 25, 2014 (Memorial Day)

July 4th, 2015 (Independence Day)

September 7, 2015 (Labor Day)

November 3-7, 2015 (Orders will be processed but expect delays due to temporary under-staffing)

November 11, 2015 (Veteran’s Day)

November 26-27, 2015 (Thanksgiving Day/Black Friday)

December 25, 2015 – (Christmas Day)

December 31, 2015 – (We will be open, but USPS & UPS will not pick up)

January 1, 2016 (New Year’s)
